Farm Cove

The redevelopment of this waterfront property in Farm Cove offered the opportunity to provide two new, high quality built homes. The design brief set out to maximise the water views and living spaces; the same spaces being required for both homes. The design response provided two unique homes tailored to the site, cleverly working around each other with extraordinary results.

Both homes utilised upper level living to maximise the view and to elevate above the adjacent public reserve. Master suite and a media room were also located on the upper level. Secondary bedrooms were accommodated on the lower level with a rumpus space connecting out to ground level outdoor living. To futureproof and allow for easy access to the upper level both homes included a lift.

The homes used a similar aesthetic language between them, featuring brick and vertical weatherboard claddings finished in contrasting colours and gabled roof forms.
